VENTURI NOZZLES
- The venturi nozzle is designed to evacuate a large amount of sand and solids settled at the bottom of the sewer.
- The operating principle is based on the venturi effect. Pressurized water exits through internal nozzles in the nozzle, exerting a reaction force for the device’s advancement and, at the same time, a suction from the front part of the pipe water, dragging the sand and propelling it through the nozzle. The water-sand mixture is transported and channeled downstream through the pipe towards the manhole where the nozzle was introduced.
- For the nozzle to work, it must operate submerged, so the pipe must have a water level above the nozzle. The pipe’s own water is used for cleaning. In this way, the transferred water volume is five times greater than that supplied by the pump. A pump with a flow rate of 300 l/min can increase its washing capacity up to 1500 l/min.
- Gentle cleaning is ensured because the nozzles do not work directly against the pipe wall. This results in a very suitable tool for cleaning pipes in poor condition or very old pipes.
- Sewer cleaning in pipes from 500 mm to 3000 mm in diameter.
- Working pressure up to 200 bar.
